Kate  Pintar
PINTAR, KATE (nee Kovacic) – Passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at age 83 years. Pre-deceased by her husband John in 1989. She is survived by her loving children John (Donna) of Waterloo, ON., Mira Crowe (Jeff) of Peterborough, Mike “Spyke” (Paulina) of Schumacher and Kathy Dumoulin (Leon) of Timmins. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Stephanie (Jason), Mark, Eric, Melissa (Scott), David, Danielle, Owen, Andrea, Miah and Alexia and by her great-grandson Jack. Pre-deceased by her infant grandson Baby Eric and her siblings Miho Kovacic, Jelka Brnardic and Barka Brnardic. Kate emigrated to Canada from Croatia in 1956. She was a long time resident of Schumacher where she formed many wonderful and lasting friendships. She was a dedicated member of the Catholic Women’s League (St. Alphonsus Church) and the Croatian Hall in Schumacher and was known for her many years volunteering at Schumacher Public School. Kate will be dearly missed for her amazing cooking and baking as well as her devotion to her family. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the doctors and nurses for making her final journey as comfortable as possible. Funeral Mass will held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 15, 2018 from St. Anthony’s Cathedral. Interment at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. Remembrance donations to the Oncology Unit of Timmins & District Hospital would be appreciated. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the
